At the shop, I am often asked to value a Pelham Puppet. I never like to make a comment on my opinion of what it is worth, as it's worth what anyone will pay for it on a particular day and time. Pelham Puppets are like any other antiques and collectables, if you love it and can afford it, it's probably worth buying! If you are selling, make sure you do some online research. The photo here is an 'SS Girl' Pelham Puppet, she's beautiful and although not especially rare or sought after, her colours, immaculate face paint and styled hair may make her more valuable than a similar 'SS Girl' puppet with less attractive clothes. The materials used can often determine the price of a puppet. A 1963 type of Wolf with jazzy retro 70's trousers will probably sell for more than one with plain or checked trousers in unpleasing colours. |

AuthorI'm Imogen from Norfolk, U.K. I have a love of interesting colourful vintage items, especially from the 1950's. Pelham Puppets are one of my strongest collecting areas. There is nowhere to buy vintage Pelham Puppets other than through internet auction sites and auction houses and I felt there was room for somebody to open a shop. Categories
