Well, it's wet and cold outside and I'm in the best place right now... surrounded by yellow boxes! I am gradually working on getting them into the shop. These puppets have never actually been in a shop, and so the children they were made for never had them to play with which is quite sad. They are all from the 1970's pre 1978. So, the collectors will benefit from this find. All with instructions and original tissue.
Hello!

Today we have reached 101 likes on facebook. Thanks to everyone for looking. I don't have a photo of a dalmation dog but thought Wags the dog would be the next best thing. He's from the 1950's. I'm thinking of adding a single page for 'other' vintage retro items for sale, especially toys, what does anyone think? Rupert Bear, Sindy Dolls, Trolls, Steiff, Dinky toys etc. Any ideas welcomed. Speak again soon. Hellooooooo to all the new facebook 'likers'.Thanks for your support and finding the Pelham Puppet Shop, I hope you'll like the puppets I have for sale and new ones coming all the time. It's a sunny bright day here in Norfolk today and I'm off to look around an antiques market to see if I can find any goodies on strings! Speak again soon. I have just been sorting out my packaging supplies.I recycle everything and re use polysytrene chips. The mice had got into all my packaging which has never happened before. Then I saw there were lots of little empty sweet wrappers in among a box full of chippings. I've never heard of sweets being added to packaging, but next time I'll make sure I've eaten them and not the mice! I had to get rid of the whole lot.It was a nice thought, but only appreciated by the rodents sadly. This little Type A Mouse seems cute enough! If I can do this anyone can. I'm learning all the time and have found the settings for times and dates, so to save confusion, have opted for the UK date. I started a twitter account the other day for the shop and tweeted a few things.I have absolutely no idea how to use twitter and probably having no followers was one of my first errors, of many to come I imagine. I feel a bit like this SL Frog looks, quite pleased with myself but a little anxious! So,if you would like to follow me on twitter for any Pelham Puppet Shop news, please do. I'll improve, well, I can't get any worse. Have a good day! Just getting started with this website and getting as many varied puppets for sale as possible so there is a good choice for everyone. I will be adding some more common puppets that are a very reasonable price as well as the rarer type which are more expensive. I should have a good selection for Christmas presents. At the moment I am figuring out how to add the shopping cart to the site, but just for now, I will email an invoice to be paid by Paypal, all safe and secure.
Bits and pieces will also be part of the shop ie controls, hands, thread etc. Bye for now ! |
