Type SL White Rabbit from the Alice in Wonderland series of sought after puppets.
White Rabbit is in good condition with some of the usual ageing.
The tabard with felt appliqued red hearts is quite good, this often deteriorates over time,this one has some nibbles, and the red felt hearts also have some nibbles.
The two ribbons are still tied in bows on the shoulders. The blue shirt is good. The fur trousers are yellowed and aged where they are seen, less so under the tabard.
The white ruff around his neck has some ageing, a few small holes.
He has small composition hands.
The two ears are quite hardened with the fur showing the wrong way around, the ear needs to turn in the hole but as these are fargile I didn't attempt it. I like to leave things as they are.
The solid moulded composition head is good. This one has red painted whiskers, some don't.
The box is stamped Type SL Mad Hatter so has been muddled at some time.
