The fun stops when you buy a puppet that has been sold to you and you feel you've been misled or deceived.
Many people sell on ebay and have no idea what they are selling or if the puppet has been altered in the past. 'Buyer beware' as they say.
But, when puppets are bought from auction with the intention of restoring them and selling them on for a profit we feel sickened. It has been happening recently and many collectors were suspicious but the recent additions have been just too much to swallow.
Please be careful where you buy your collection from, whether it is from auctions or ebay. Ask other collectors and if it looks too good to be true it probably is!
..... and here, a massive repainting of what was a rare and beautiful puppet. |
