Packaging for Vintage Toys

My very large box of polystyrene chippings or 'peanuts' arrived today. I use new packing materials and boxes for most of the transactions. It's so important to pack these puppets well and I'm always amazed by some sellers who don't understand that a puppet can crack or get damaged so easily in the post. Sometimes the puppets go overseas a long distance. This week one of my parcels went to Australia. Items I receive are often wrapped well on the outside but the puppet inside the box still rattles around and moves. The other day an antique dealer sellotaped an old brown box in case the puppet fell out! If an antique dealer can do that, there's not a lot of hope for sellers who don't know any better, so it's always a risk buying from ebay, auctions or privately. As I mentioned in a blog below I went to see a Pelham Puppet 1963 Bulldog described as 'mint'. Mint means one thing to one person and something else to another. Please read my description with the photos and always ask for added photos or further detailed description, so that you can be sure of your purchases and know that they will be well wrapped. If anyone can see the funny side of the photo above, let me know in the comments lol.
