Wonky Lady/Girl is in superb condition. She has been saved in her box for many years and stored with no damage of damp or moth. The puppet has the typical features of the Wonky era style of puppet. Toggle painted legs and crafted wooden arms with paddle wooden hands. The head is wooden oval shape with a wooden neck into the body. The tuft of brown hair is perfect and her yellow turban is very good, with minimal sign of general dust to the surface. The turban is made from a sort of velvet plush material. The dress is excellent with a bodice of the same colour, but a different material to the turban. The dress has metallic threads running through it. The strings look to be the original. I had to add a back string which had been tied, but the others all look to be the original thin black thread. The shoes are painted black and have seen no wear. Face paint is excellent, she has the little carved nose typical of this era. The control with wonky paper label still partly attached. The original box is in fair worn condition, sturdy with no splits, but aged. Instructions included which are aged.
