Type SM Witch, this is the early witch with wooden teeth rather than nails. She is in very good condition with good clothes. The red scarf is a little aged.The black dress is made from a sort of parachute material, she has a seersucker apron and felt hat, all in very good condition. The shoes have some signs of previous wear. She has good real black fur hair.The face paint is very good, she has rosy cheeks and is colourful. She retains a good felt tongue. This puppet does not have the original long bamboo broomstick but I have given her one that I had, an original 1950's bamboo stick but it has no raffia attached, an easy fix, but I leave that to the buyer to sort out. The box is aged and is stamped correctly one end, although seems a little late for this version. The lower part is aged. It is very unusual to find two puppets dressed exactly the same as fabrics were varied, so maybe this puppet and the other wooden tooth witch for sale on the site, were made in the same week or day at the factory. The strings are quite a bit shorter on this puppet.
