Type SM Clown late 1940's with drop lead hands and half moon eyes. He wears the typical gathered at the wrists and ankles, romper suit. The clothes are aged, the suit is good just a little grubby and the gathers at the ankles and wrists have loose threads. The ruff is damaged and needs repairing, it looks to have already had a crude repair. Real fur hair is a little faded and the thick yellow felt hat is dirty but no holes. Face paint is very good with the red nose still bright and unfaded. He retains a felt tongue which is loose. He has an extra thread to his tummy to enable him to tumble. The original box is stamped SM Clown with blue correct label and is in good condition.
