Type SL Henry V111. This puppet is not the collectors series on short black threads and wooden stand, but looks the same. This puppet is a mystery. He has very similar clothes and afce but there are subtle differences. It is possible he has been restrung onto a control with coloured strings. There are other differences, the fur around his cloak is not a s fine as the fur on the Collectors series puppets, he lacks 'jewels' on his velvet hat with feathers. He also has dark stockings rather than light coloured ones and his felt shoes are different. The most obvious difference is that he has blue eyes and all other puppets I have seen of this character have brown eyes. The hands don't match well in size as one is curved, another anomaly. He has a small amount of fur on his beard but no painted moustache. Maybe this puppet is just different but please be aware I have no knowledge of the history of it. However, I do not see any sign of any alterations having been made and I believe it may be a prototype or one off puppet made to order? I am not sure but I am giving all the information I see together with photos. Condition is very good. No box.
