Type SL Goofy the 1950's version which is rarely seen. He has large composition hands with three black stripes on the back. The legs are wooden and he has bamboo arms. The feet and hands are heavy and these early Disney puppets are often strung on short strings, these are not too short. The clothes are aged, the felt waistcoat has moth damage and also the felt hat with red band damaged. The red top is aged and the trousers are good but with a tiny moth hole. There are no cracks and no damage to his head. The large shoes are good. The strings on this type of puppet always have an extra string from the foot to his knee, this one still has this method of stringing. The original box is aged with correct name stamp one end.
