Type SL Archie Andrews, a rarely seen puppet. This one has a hollow head rather than the first version solid head. The puppet is in very good condition with only minor signs of use and ageing in the clothes. He has a good large head which often suffers cracks around the neck area, this one is perfect. The neck is inserted into the moulded hollow head and the line which can be seen is this, it is not any defect or crack. The head is large and he has a very jolly expression. The painted hair is good. The clothes are good, the linen material striped scarf is good. The jacket is also good, the felt buttons are very slightly nibbled. Trousers have a few minor age related marks. The clothes are a little creased from storage, the scarf could be pressed and tied more around the neck but I wanted to show you the mould line and not hide it, as quite often the cracks are hidden by the scarf. He has been restrung with a fine black thread. The box is stamped correctly and includes instructions and a Pelpop letter, complete, but scrappy. The box is worn with damage to the label.
