Type SM Schoolmaster late 1940's.

He is rarely seen and is in lovely condition.

We have been very lucky recently acquiring beautifully looked after puppets from original owners. The gentleman who had this puppet and is now in a care home, would very much like to know where he ends up! 

The early Schoolmaster has no cane and was bald.

He has drop lead hands.

The facepaint is very good and he retains a felt tongue.

The fur hair has come off the eyebrows with ageing, the hide base is left behind.

The fur on the head is slightly grubby.

Costume is superb, he has a clean white vest with black tie. The suit is excellent.

There was no need for restringing so it is as was.

Box has schoolmaster handwritten in pencil from the store I believe.
