PEDIGREE DOLL 1950'S DUSKY "DELITE"

Pedigree Doll 1950's 20" Delite "Dusky" series. She is one of the rarer Pedigree dolls with brown skin, called 'Dusky' model with flirty eyes and voice box. The walker dolls are seen a little more often than the straight leg type and the Asian brown coloured skin is rare to find, she is very cute. She has an open mouth with two little front teeth showing. She is in lovely condition for her age. The doll wears her original Pedigree dress and shoes. The shoes have age related wear and one of the small holes where the ribbon goes through has split. She also wears a pair of cotton knickers. She still has a working voice box and cries when turned over! The limbs all move. The neck enables the head to be positioned at different angles as can be seen in the images. She has 'flirty' eyes which means they can open and close but also they move sideways on movement. These work well. The hair is still tied in plaits with original ribbons that match the trim of the dress, the ribbons have some ageing consistent with the dress wear. The hair is shedding very very slightly. Impressed to her neck is Pedigree and to the top of her back is Pedigree, Made in England. She comes in her original box but I hardly like to mention it as it is very poor broken condition, but she will travel to her new home with it. The label on the end shows her make and model. This doll has come to the shop from her original owner who would like her to find a happy new home!
