Type SL Devil late 40's era.

He is in excellent condition.

Costume is perfect, a thick red suit with no damage, stains or holes.

The felt hat has seen a small amount of moth attention at some stage as the surface is nibbled,near the front, luckily the felt is so thick it doesn't show and hasn't spread to any other fabric or hair. 

He has early drop lead hands with good covering of paint.

Face paint is very good and he retains all his facial hair, a lovely sleek black beard with matching tache. The paintwork is very good all round.

He has the early wooden teeth and still has a thick marron coloured felt tongue.

The trident is very good and is attached to the back by screw eye, the next type of Devil carries his trident. 

(Strings are quite worn but I have left as is and included a card of new black linen thread to use if any string breaks in the future it can be easily repaired)

Box is correct for era and type and is in very good condition.

It has the store pencil name one end and the previous owners small paper label which is on all of his collection.

It comes with the home made bag he was stored in. Maybe these bags helped the puppets retain their condition.
