Bob Pelham's wife Anne, designed the costumes of the Historical characters.This is a collection of cut out templates for the costumes of the Historical Characters made by Pelham Puppets. This Lot of templates are labelled for the costumes of Elizabethan, Victorian & Georgian period. The patterns are cut from pieces of card and brown paper and other items. The only provenance I have that they could be original factory templates for the home workers or factory workers, is that they have come from the one of the former employees family who found them in among his Pelham Puppet memorabilia and labelled as such. Many of the pieces of paper and card have Marlborough and surrounding area addresses etc on them, so fit well with the history of where these cutouts originated, near or at, the factory. Some of the cards and papers that they are cut from are from 1950's but not all of them which makes it more complicated to work out the exact provenance.
