Type A Bengo 1950's the first version of the very common Bengo the little Boxer dog from the storybooks by William Timym.

He has solid moulded composition head with wooden body and legs.

This dear little Boxer dog has a damaged ear which seems best left as his character feature and shows his age. 

The body and head paintwork is good, feet have paint loss, the paint didn't always adhere well to the wood, it is quite flakey around the tops and base of the feet.

Box is first style brown animal box and is good condition with Bengo stamped on one side.
