Type LA Elephant, sometimes called 'Tumbo'. He is rarely found and is one of the early animal range.
He has paint loss on his bamboo limbs as is often the case.
The original felt ears are good, the right has an uneven edge probably from manufacture.
He still has both his tusks and a little felt tongue!
Strung on original flat plywood control with thin black thread.
Replaced string hanging hook.
Box is correct era and type but unstamped.
