Type SL White Rabbit from the Alice in Wonderland series of sought after puppets.
White Rabbit is in very good condition with some of the usual ageing.
The tabard with felt appliqued red hearts is very good, this often deteriorates over time but this one is good with the tiniest of nibbles, just enough to show it isn't newly made!
The two ribbons are still tied in bows on the shoulders. The blue shirt is very good. The fur trousers are a little grubby where they are seen, less so under the tabard.
The white ruff around his neck has some ageing.
He has small composition hands with red nail polish on the fingers, an unusual extra detail which I have seen before on a White Rabbit. One hand has a small crack in the palm.
The two ears, often damaged, are in very good condition with a good fur covering and good pink inner parts.
The solid moulded composition head is very good. This one has red painted whiskers, some don't.
The box is stamped Type SL March Hare so has been muddled at some time.
Box is shelf worn.
