Lanky Man a rare puppet measuring 18" tall from late 1940's.
This Lanky Man has extra large wooden carved hands. The early version had wooden hands before the composite moulded large hands with a thumb.
The clothes are very good, no damage other than very minor ageing to the trousers. No holes or stains. The cuffs and ruff collar are made from a light chiffon type of material and are in good condition. His face paint is very bright and in excellent condition. He has extra long wooden arms and legs as seen. The lower part of the legs are painted to match the hands and face.
The hands are oversized. The screw eyes to hands and limbs match throughout the puppet. He is strung on a thin black thread.
The provenance of the puppet goes back 35 years with no alterations done in that time.
The blue label box is good with Lanky Man written in pencil.
