Type SM Chef
Type SM Chef 1950's. He is in lovely original condition with endearing almond shaped eyes.
This is a rarely found character and due to his costume often being discoloured, he has sometimes been redressed. The hat seems to be the most difficult part to reproduce looking at examples that have been for sale.
This one has come from the original owner. The costume is discoloured, images don't always show this so look carefully. It may look whiter than it is.
The hat is very good with no damage other than ageing, the apron is also good. The top has some damage on the sleeve, shown in an image.
The trousers have some general age related marks and wear.
He has flock hair.
The face is great, he wears a little painted moustache. There are no scuffs or wear to the face paint, there is a little scuff to the chin but it doesn't look as if there would have been a beard as the moustache is painted.
He has swallowed the remnants of the felt tongue which is still at the back of the mouth!
Correct stamped box is shelf worn.
