Type SM N Minstrel mid 1950's. The puppet is in excellent condition, clothes are clean and bright, a few tiny rust spots to the back as seen, otherwise very good.
The face paint is good, the only flaw is a tiny chip to the lower lip.
The felt hat is soft and clean.
He has felt tongue intact.
Puppet is strung on the small 6" control with coloured buffers so dates to after the anti-tangling device was introduced in mid 1950's.
He carries a banjo with a few pieces of raffia attached.
The control has bright screw eyes and strings and matches the well preserved puppet.
Box is very good with name stamp and set of instructions.
