WUFF TUFF SNUFF
Very rare Wuff, Tuff and Snuff on a single control. These characters from the William Timym comic strips in the 1950's are usually seen as a single puppet. Snuff and Tuff are especially rare to find. The early ones on the single bar control have a larger pointed nose and have larger ears.
The condition of this is quite poor but the ears are very good and haven't got any moth damage. The paint has flaked off the puppets in several places, this was a common ageing problem as the paint doesn't adhere well to the wood over time.
The middle dog is Snuff (I think!) he has paint loss, Wuff, the black and white dog has significant paint damage and crazing. Tuff at the back, is also very damaged with paint flaking.
The strings are short as always is the case on this control, each, individually strung to the control.
The original box is very aged.
(The photos were difficult to do efficiently, but the condition is evident by zooming in on the images)
